Bulelani Magxaka
18 years old
Hi, my name is Bulelani Magxaka. I'm originally from Oudtshoorn but studied most of my school life in George. I studied at M.M. Mateza Primary in Thembalethu then from grade 4 I was at Outeniqua Primary. I did my high school at York High where I finished my Matric in 2006. I stay with my single mother and little sister at my grandmother’s house. I am the oldest of 4 children and my parents are divorced. Because of the great support I have in my mother and family, I choose not to let my financial situation hold me back and thanks to God Eden Campus was introduced to me when I had almost decided on looking for a job instead of tertiary education.
I had already applied at AAA school of advertising for a three year diploma course in graphic designing and art directing at the end of last year, 2006, but due to the set back in my family problem's I was unable to start this course.
At Eden Campus I have learnt many skills that I believe I can take back to my community. I have found a leader in me. My goal in life is to make a difference in someone's life, it’s a goal that has no ending in other words. I don’t just want to help someone else, I want to make a change in someone's life - looking at the broader picture.
Equipped with my dedication and ability to work hard, I strive to become the best I can be and being a successful entrepreneur.
Being at Eden Campus is a big privilege for me. It is the perfect opportunity for me to get where I want to. We still have to develop a lot but in time we will. I love being here, and I love my fellow students. We are one BIG happy family.
